Ball valves are designed to shut off the flow of a transported liquid or gaseous medium in pipelines. Unlike screw fittings, gate valves and shut-off valves, which block the flow of the working fluid gradually, the ball valve is designed to quickly close the passage channel by turning the control handle at an angle of 90º C.
